As we close out 2025, Houston Sport Flyers is proud to look back on a year filled with progress, community, and great flying. Our members continue to make this club one of the most active and welcoming RC communities in the region.

Highlights from 2025

• New Runway Installed In April, Harris County Parks completed the installation of a brand‑new runway at our field—a major upgrade that will benefit the club for years to come. Shortly afterward, members came together to complete the runway striping effort, demonstrating once again what we can accomplish as a team.

• Strong and Growing Membership From new pilots taking their first flights to long‑time members returning week after week, our field stayed active and energetic throughout the year.

• Commitment to Safety and Field Maintenance Thanks to everyone who contributed time and effort to keep the runway, pits, and grounds in excellent condition. Your work keeps our flying environment safe and enjoyable.

• Leadership for 2026 At the December meeting, the 2025 officers were re‑elected to continue serving in 2026, with the addition of Steve Patterson joining Rob Kohanski as a safety officer. The full list of officers is available here: Club Officers

• Improved Online Presence We introduced updates to the club website to make information easier to find and keep members informed. We also launched a new Facebook group to help members stay connected, share photos, and coordinate flying days: Houston Sport Flyers Community
