Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Our December meeting will be held on Saturday, 12/6. A couple of topics:

• Election of 2026 officers
• Update on infra topics – runway edges, parking lot, awning repairs

Also, we'll start collecting dues for 2026. Reminder that our dues are $120/year, you can pay Charlie directly at the meeting or via Paypal to “treasurer@hsflyers.com”. There's renewal capability in the website, too – if I can get it enabled I will do so.  If you can't get into the website, email the secretary or me…

We've had some great flying (and driving, Nick!) weather the past few days – hoping we'll have nice weather for the meeting..!

Students from the School of Science and Technology will be visiting our flying field on Friday, 10/24, from 9 a.m. to noon. Members are encouraged to bring a plane, helicopter, or anything else to showcase and fly. These students have an engineering and technical background and will be eager to see and learn more about how things fly. This event was discussed at the last club meeting and is being organized by Cesar Vazquez - contact Cesar for details!

Unfortunately, we have learned of the passing of another fellow model aviation enthusiast, Harvey Hartman, a member of NW Houston RC Club.  His stepdaughter, Judi Linton, is the executor of his estate of hobby tools, equipment, models, and parts.  She asked we let you all know in advance of an estate sale of his items. Accordingly, I wanted you to see the attached inventory of items she has compiled.

The estate liquidation sale will be at their hangar in Waller, Texas at 32202 Rochen Road. The sale will be on Saturday October 18th and Sunday October 19th from 10 AM until 4 PM. She  will ONLY accept cash or Venmo for payment.   In addition, to what is listed in the attachments she will also be offering airplane models, books, tools, machinery, full-scale airplane parts, HO gauge trains, and aviation artwork.
